The Peachtree Group
Peachtree Group and its partners, Fritz Rybert, Matthew
Busby, and Bob Van de Bogert, have enjoyed rave reviews
in Atlanta and across the Southeast as partners in many
award-winning golf course and residential communities.
Formed in 1981, The Peachtree Group specializes in the
development of residential communities of varying sizes.
In its capacity as a community developer, The Peachtree
Group is responsible for managing every facet of the development
process, including site acquisition, entitlements, financial
modeling, market feasibility, design, construction, marketing,
sales, formation and management of builder programs, homeowner’s
associations and property management. Additionally, The
Peachtree Group’s Custom Home Division builds out
a limited number of the company’s “in-town” developments.
Noteworthy projects include:
Colleton River Plantation — This 395-lot residential community just outside Hilton Head features an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course that has been featured on ABC Sports’ broadcast of the Wendy’s 3-Tour Challenge and The Chrysler American Great 18 Golf Championship. The 395-member private club was voted "Best New Private Course in America" by Golf Digest, and GolfWeek named Colleton River the #1 course in South Carolina.
Old Marsh — This 452-acre, 217-lot residential community in northern Palm Beach County, FL, is home to a Pete Dye-designed 18-hole golf course that was ranked in Golf Digest’s Top 100 in its first year of eligibility. The community was noted as "an environmental triumph" by former Assistant Secretary of the Interior Nathaniel Reed, a leading Florida conservationist. Reed went on to say that, "from now on, any developer who wants to build a golf course near a marsh will have to look at Old Marsh carefully."
Laurel Springs — The crown jewel of this south Forsyth County (Atlanta) community is the Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course, named "Best New Course in Georgia for 1998" by Georgia Golf News. A 14,000 SF French Countryside-style golf clubhouse sets the tone, while a Stan Smith-designed swim/tennis complex supplies the family fun.
Mountaintop — Demand at this family-oriented country club community, a development of Discovery Land Co. and The Peachtree Group, is at a fever pitch. "Mountain elegance" sets the tone at this 730-acre golf and lake community in the mountains of Cashiers, NC. Members enjoy exclusive use of the Tom Fazio-designed championship course, as well as access to the Lake Club on Lake Glenville. Substantial building setbacks and state-of-the-art erosion controls protect the distinctive mountain environment. A comprehensive Outdoor Pursuits program, and teen and children’s activities set the stage for lasting family memories.
